Three West Chester University women’s lacrosse players were named to the All-PSAC squad it was announced by that organization Thursday afternoon. Two of the three Golden Rams were first team picks.

Senior attackers Dina Cifelli (Robbinsville, N.J./Notre Dame) and Ashley Pyle (Garnet Valley) were each first team all-league choices while sophomore midfielder Sami Barnett (Interboro) was a third team pick.

Cifelli makes her fourth and final appearance on the All-PSAC team. The loop’s Rookie of the Year in 2014 was a second team honoree that spring. She was a third-team pick in 2015 and a second team pick a season ago. Pyle makes her third appearance on the all-league squad with all three nods coming as a first team choice. Barnett, a third-team pick her freshman season, moved up to the second team this spring.

Cifelli broke the conference career assist record and will become just the fifth player in West Chester history with 300 career points with her next point in the Golden Rams’ postseason run. Cifelli’s 218 career helpers ranks her fourth all-time in NCAA Division II history. The Jersey girl has 19 goals and 53 assists this spring for 72 points. She leads the PSAC in assists per game (3.31) and ranks third in the conference in points per game (4.50).

Pyle leads the team in scoring and ranks second in the PSAC in points per game (4.87). She has 43 goals and 30 assists for a total of 73 points on the season. Earlier this year, Pyle became just the fifth player in school history with more than 100 goals and 100 assists in a career. The diminutive damsel also ranks among the Top 10 in scoring in school history with 269 career points.

Barnett missed the final five games of the regular season due to injury, but certainly let her presence be felt amongst the PSAC coaches. She ranks fourth on the team in scoring with 30 goals and 36 points. She has also secured 27 draw controls on the year. A playmaker in the midfield, Barnett is quickly establishing herself as one of the top players in the conference.

West Chester enters the PSAC Tournament on Friday with a semifinal contest against Mercyhurst at East Stroudsburg on Friday at 4 p.m.
