From Press Release

US Lacrosse today announced that the annual US Lacrosse Convention (LaxCon) will return to the Baltimore Convention Center Jan. 19-21, 2018.

LaxCon represents lacrosse’s largest educational event and trade show. The 2017 event, held Jan. 20-22, drew 7,130 participants, including a Saturday record 2,810 for the public “Fan Fest.” LaxCon’s total attendance exceeded 7,000 for the third time in the last four years.

“The Visit Baltimore sales and services team, the Baltimore Convention Center and the hotel community are thrilled to welcome LaxCon back in 2018,” said Al Hutchinson, president and CEO of Visit Baltimore. “Not only is it exciting to host the premiere lacrosse educational event and trade show in Baltimore, where the sport is so fondly celebrated, but LaxCon also makes a significant economic impact on our community. In 2017, the event generated approximately $2.4 million in visitor, meeting planner and exhibitor spending alone, supporting our city’s hotels, restaurants and businesses.”

LaxCon returns to Baltimore for a fourth consecutive year and eighth time since 2002.

“Baltimore remains one of the top destinations for lacrosse, and we’re delighted to return our signature event to the city in 2018,” said Kim Rogers, director of events at US Lacrosse. “We’re appreciative of the tremendous support we’ve received from the community, which makes LaxCon a can’t-miss event each year.”

Ticket sales are expected to begin shortly after Labor Day.

Under Armour, STX, Nationwide, and Buffalo Wild Wings lead more than two dozen event sponsors. Visit Baltimore is the event’s official CVB partner.
