Strath Haven is hosting the 5th annual Play for the As event Saturday to battle Alzheimer’s Disease.

All funds raised will be fully used to support families in our local area who have been affected by this life-changing disease.

The event was created by Strath Haven coach Jew Hewlings, whose mother suffered the devastating and debilitating effects of Alzheimer’s for several years (she passed away in 2009). Hewlings’ hope is to somehow ease the burden of family caregivers of those who are diagnosed with this overwhelming disease, and your efforts leading up to and on event day WILL make a difference in the lives of these individuals and families.

The marquee game and finale is Strath Haven hosting top-ranked Malvern Prep, which also is nationally ranked.

This year’s expanded game schedule includes a full day of lacrosse at George King Field (home of the Strath Haven Panthers) in Wallingford, PA:
