Registration is open for the Excel Girls’ Lacrosse Summer Camps at Episcopal Academy for youth girls.
There are two weeklong day-camp opportunities for girls’ lacrosse players in 3rd-8th grade: June 26-30 and July 24-28. Come train with EA’s head varsity girls’ lacrosse coach and Camp Director, Josie Ferri Tomaino, Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm.
The primary focus of camp is fun and personal development! Our goal is to raise each player’s skill level by exposing them to the latest stickwork techniques and developments in the game of girls’ lacrosse.
Excel’s curriculum includes a variety of individual skills including stickwork (technique & creativity), shooting (technique, selection, accuracy, power), and defensive concepts (communication, checking, slides, groundballs). From a team perspective, we’ll be reviewing small-sided concepts (2v2s, 3v3s, man-up/man-down) as well as full field concepts (clearing, riding).
Off the field, campers will have the opportunity to participate in specialty sessions, including leadership, nutrition, body awareness/strength training, speed & agility and more. Campers will have daily access to The Episcopal Academy aquatic center to cool off during their lunch break!
