Archmere Academy

League: Diamond State Athletic Conference

Head Coach: Pete Duncan, 14 years as head coach (4th at Archmere)

Last year’s record: 13-5, State semifinals

Key returnees:
Pat Udovich, defense, senior (Drexel)

Coach’s Outlook for 2017: “Archmere is aiming to build from a successful 2016 season. We once again have a competitive schedule and will rely on several returning starters, mostly on defense, plus some new faces who will be asked to emerge as big contributors this season.”

Caesar Rodney Riders

League: Henlopen Conference

Head Coach: Matt Faircloth, 4th year

Last year’s record: 10-7, (Lost in State Quarterfinals)

Key returnees: Tyler Gross – Goalie, Jacob Mollohan – Defense, Nolan Brockmeyer – Defense, Ron Ornozio – Defense, Demetrius Stevenson – Midfield, Jared Wagenhoffer – Midfield, Jake Pangle – Midfield, Jacob Copio – Attack

Coach’s Outlook for 2017: “Our season looks promising with many returning players from last season, beginning with our entire defense and goalie. The offense also has a couple key players back mixing with some new players, both eager to get rolling this spring. The Riders are poised for a great 2017 season that will see them contend for a conference and state title.”
