What are your college and future goals?
Grady: “I am interested in science, so, as of now, that is what I want to study in college. So in terms of a career I have been thinking about becoming a doctor, a teacher or a scientist of some sort. But I’m 16 so the goal right now is to just expose myself to as many different experiences as I can, so then with that information I can make decisions about my future from there. As for playing lacrosse in college, I hope I can. I would like to. I think that would be super fun, but academics and fit come first; so I guess I’ll just see how it plays out.”
How do you describe leadership?
Grady: “Leadership is a quality that commands respect and a willingness to follow from a group of people, and good leadership should inspire people to do better. I think that leadership can come in many forms. You can lead by example, lead through support and encouragement, lead through demanding more of your teammates and pushing them to be their best, etc.”
How do you balance lacrosse, school, and extracurriculars?
Grady: “To be fair, most of the people I know juggle multiple demanding activities, so it’s the norm really. You just have to be productive and efficient during the limited time you have to do each activity. There is not much down time but I like the extra things I do, so it doesn’t seem like a chore to do them. So I guess the key is making each aspect as enjoyable as possible.”
