Maryland senior Matt Rambo was honored Saturday at the Glenside VFW with the Good Citizenship Award for winning the Tewaaraton Trophy and leading the Terps to their first NCAA Division I championship in over 40 years.
Rambo is joined by his brother, former Abington standout and Rutgers Scarlet Knight Rich Rambo (left), and director of The Duke’s Lacrosse Club, Ebe Helm. Rambo played for the Dukes and was the 2013 Phillylacrosse.com Player of the Year in 2013 when he led La Salle to the PIAA championship.
Many friends from Glenside, La Salle, Dukes and Maryland came out to give Matt and the Rambo family warm applause understanding the magnitude of being the first from the Philly region and the state to win the Tewaaraton Trophy.
