Half Hollow Hills East (N.Y.) 2019 LSM Sal Pascarella has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at St. Joseph’s University.

Sal Pascarella (defending)

High school: Half Hollow Hills East, New York

Position:
LSM

Grad year:
2019

College committed to: St. Joseph’s University

Lacrosse honors: Team 91, Maverik Showtime All-Star. 2017 Division 1 Rookie of the Year Suffolk County

Academic honors: 2017 Scholar athlete

Why did you choose St. Joe’s? “I chose St. Joseph’s University because I felt there was a great balance between academics and athletics. The coaching staff at St. Joseph’s was also a major reason I chose this school.”

HS team’s 2018 outlook: “After coming off a final four appearance there are very high expectations for the Hills East team this year. Only three starters were lost from last year, but one of these starters was an All-American and the MVP of the team. The Hills East team expects to make another final four appearance this upcoming 2018 season.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank my 91 coaches, Darren Macgilvary, Scott Craig, and Jim Mule. I would also like to thank my parents for bringing me all over the country for tournaments and showcases.”

Other schools considered: UMass, Marist and Cornell
