Downingtown West 2018 attackman Shea Dougherty has committed to play Division III lacrosse at McDaniel College.

Why did you choose McDaniel? “McDaniel first reached out to me around the end of my junior year and said they would like me for a visit. It was one of my first official visits taken as a player and I was really excited about it. I went in the summer and really liked the campus and coaches. As I took more visits I felt that it was the one school really stuck out to me. The coach asked me back for an overnight and I gladly accepted. After going through other schools and seeing this one in action I knew this was the place for me. The guys on the team were really nice and they just treated me like family throughout the whole process, as if I had already said I’d be going there. When it came time to make a decision it was between McDaniel and one other school and I just had that gut feeling that this school will be great for me and I’ll be a great fit on this team. I became the first player on my travel team to go there which is very exciting and am overall very excited to say that I am committed to McDaniel College.”
