Bishop Shanahan 2018 midfielder James Lyons has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Widener University.

Grad year: 2018

College committed to: Widener University

Club team: Black Bear

Lacrosse honors: Beast of the East All-Star, Ches-Mont Champions

Service: DECA

Expected major: Business Management

Why did you choose Widener? “I chose Widener because of the many opportunities it has to offer. They have a very good business program and the co-op program is a bonus as well. Also Coach (Jamie) Lockard has a great program, and he made me feel very welcomed on campus when I came to visit.”

HS team’s 2018 outlook: “We have a lot of talented upperclassmen this year. Our goal is to win the state championship.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank my parents for everything they have done for me since the beginning. I would also like to thank my high school and club coaches for getting me to this point.”
