High school: Friends’ Central School

Position: Midfield

Grad year: 2017

College Choice:
Duquesne University

Club Affiliation: Philly Blast Lacrosse

Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases: All MainLine and All-Friends Schools League Honorable Mention

What will you major in/study? Business (possibly sports marketing)

Why did you choose this school? “I loved the campus because although it is right in Pittsburgh. It feels separate from the big city. In addition, their lacrosse program held my biggest interest and seemed like the best fit for me when considering my other options at the time.”

Outlook for 2017 HS season? “I am very excited about our upcoming season. We have a number of freshmen this year that are showing really well in our winter league thus far, along with our returning sophomores who have a lot of talent. We also have a strong junior group, and a really great senior group that already have been stepping up and taking huge roles as leaders due to our lack of a coaching staff at the moment. I can’t wait to see what the spring holds for us and I see us going far.”

People to thank: “I would like to thank my former club coach, Josie Ferri, for guiding me through the recruiting process and for helping me grow stronger each summer. I would like to thank my former high school lacrosse coach, Lauren Becker Rubin, for also guiding me through the recruiting process and for teaching me about what it takes to be a great leader. I would also like to thank my parents for being my biggest supporters.”

Other schools considered:
F&M, La Salle, Dartmouth,
