The Lehigh women’s lacrosse team jumped out to a 9-3 halftime lead and didn’t look back, opening a 16-2 advantage on the way to an impressive 16-6 win on Monday.

Freshman Sondra Dickey (Conestoga) helped lead the charge, posting career highs in goals (4), points (5), groundballs (4) and caused turnovers (3). Senior goalkeeper Taylor Tvedt tied a season-high 10 saves while allowing just three goals.

The Mountain Hawks (4-2) won their second road game in three days and now look ahead to their Patriot League opener at Holy Cross on Saturday.

Junior Haley Wentzel (Boyertown) added three goals for her fourth-career hat trick, second this season. Senior Lauren Beausoleil and sophomore Courtney Henig each scored twice. In total, nine different Mountain Hawks scored a goal while 11 had a point.

“It was the first time we’ve had so many people in the scoring column, so we’re excited for the balanced offense,” said Lehigh head coach Jill Redfern. “Sondra had the type of game that we love, a complete game on both ends of the field and through the middle.”

Defensively, junior Alexis King (Conestoga) continued her strong play, with three groundballs and three caused turnovers. Senior Julianne D’Orazio (Merion Mercy) filled up the stat sheet with a goal, four draw controls, two groundballs and two caused turnovers.
