West Chester Elevated Lacrosse claimed the team title in the 2024 B Division Sunday in its inaugural Summer tournament at the Victory Events Boys Summer Slam at Westtown School.
The 2024s battled in a highly competitive game with Fusion LC to win the Championship. The game went back and forth with each team answering each others scores with Elevated coming out on top.
“The kids were unbelievably excited and had ear to ear grins,” Coach Dan Deckelbaum said. “We are proud of their effort and love to see the development of the team. Our program is committed to helping each player bring out their best with training for face offs, goalies, attack, middies and defense.”
Along with the success of the 2024 team, the 2023s went 5-1 and lost in the championship by a goal in the last 30 seconds of the game. The team looks forward to many more opportunities to compete for championships.
“The teams are starting to come together and gel,” said Deckelbaum. “It’s nice to see players starting to communicate on the field and understand the coaching from the sideline. For all of these young athletes the best is yet to come as the boys continue to develop their athleticism, lacrosse skill and lax IQ. Thanks to Victory Events and Pattison Sports Group for a well run event.”
