Head Coach: Feffie Barnhill, 3rd season
Last year’s record: 12-4, Semifinalist in DIAA State tournament
Key returnees: Erin Davis, GK- Brooke Schmeusser, Midfield- Erin O’Doherty – Attack
Coach’s Outlook for 2016: “With the full Defensive squad returning, the team looks forward to a successful campaign. The attack could feature 2 seniors and 2 powerful juniors and be a real threat to score many goals each game. The addition of 5 strong Varsity freshman will add to the depth of the team.”
Padua Academy
League: DE Independent
Head Coach: Erin Blansfield, first year head coach (3rd year with the program)
Last year’s record: 4-6-1
Key returnees: Emma Braun & Olivia Bowman anchoring our defense. Susan Stepek, Mary Hennessy, Grace DiGiovanni, Amanda Berry, & Kyra Gangemi return to make big plays in the offensive end.
Coach’s Outlook for 2016: “I am looking forward to my third year with Padua Lacrosse; the heart, hustle, and cohesion on this team is undeniable. With many of our key players from last season returning and a good fresh talent pool from our incoming freshman, I am confident in our ability to improve on last years record as we commence our second varsity season. We had a few close games and a hard fought tie last season that I know we can turn into a few more W’s. The coaching staff and team are excited to show what we can do as a team.”
