From Press Release

NXTsports is excited to announce that it will host the 2016 Inter-Ac Challenge’s semifinals and championship game at Villanova Stadium on Villanova University’s campus. NXT is thrilled to announce that perennial national powerhouse Culver Academy (Ind.) is joining the tournament’s 12-team lineup.Inter-Ac-challenge

Haverford School, which went 26-0 and finished as the unanimous top team in North America, headlines the 12-team group as it aims to defend its title. Fellow Inter-Ac schools Episcopal Academy, Germantown Academy, Malvern Prep, Penn Charter and Springside Chestnut Hill Academy welcome 2015 Inter-Ac Challenge runner-up Hun School (N.J.), Lawrenceville School (N.J.), Academy of the New Church, Hill School, Shipley School and Culver as their guests.

The top four teams in the tournament earn a first-round bye, while the lower eight teams play at the higher seed’s location on Monday, May 16. The Proving Grounds in Conshohocken (PA) once again play host to the Inter-Ac Challenge’s quarterfinals on Wednesday, May 18 before the tournament heads to Villanova. The final four teams play on Friday, May 20 and the Inter-Ac Challenge championship game takes place on Sunday, May 22. The Comcast Network will once again broadcast the championship game.

The Inter-Ac Challenge is proud to partner with the Wounded Warrior Project and all net proceeds will be donated to the WWP. The Wounded Warrior Project aims to honor and empower wounded warriors and to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history. More information about this great cause can be found at woundedwarriorproject.org.

“The sport of lacrosse has the critical foundation values of teamwork, discipline, hard work and excellence,” Wounded Warrior Chief Program Officer Adam Silva said. “These are qualities that we find in our armed forces, in our team at Wounded Warrior Project and in the wounded veterans that we serve. I’m honored and proud to be part of an opportunity that will reinforce those values with these young athletes.”

The Inter-Ac Challenge will also feature middle school all-star games on Villanova’s field before the tournament final on May 22. The Pennsylvania and New Jersey seventh grade all-stars will play first, followed by the best eighth graders from the Keystone and Garden States. Tryout information for the middle school all-star teams will be released in the near future.

“We’re excited to work with Villanova and to hold the tournament at a first-rate Division I school,” Inter-Ac Challenge Director Brett Manney said. “The Inter-Ac League is the toughest boys lacrosse league to win in the country, so to have the opportunity to pair those elite teams with six top-level guests is a big honor and makes the Inter-Ac Challenge the top postseason tournament in the country. To make it even better, we get the chance to honor our nation’s veterans in need by working with an incredible charity in the Wounded Warrior Project.”

Ticket information for the quarterfinals, semifinals and final is available at inter-ac-challenge.com. Inter-Ac Challenge partnership information is available by contacting Rich Lisk, NXTsports Director of Partnerships, at rich@nxtsports.com.
