Mt. Lebanon High School (PA) 2018 midfield Alexis Gibbons has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Lafayette College.

Alexis Gibbons profile:

Alexis Gibbons
Alexis Gibbons

High School: Mt. Lebanon High School, PA

Graduation Year: 2018

Position: Midfield

College Choice: Lafayette College

Club Affiliation: Pittsburgh Premier Lacrosse Club

Lacrosse Honors:
1st year Varsity letter winner – Freshman year
2015 National Women’s Lacrosse Tournament – Western Pa team
2015 Brine National Lacrosse Classic – 2018 Pennsylvania Team

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose Lafayette? “I absolutely love the coaches and players, and the campus is beautiful. I felt like the lacrosse program and school was a perfect fit for me. Plus, I would only be 15 minutes away from my sister who will be playing lacrosse at Lehigh next year. This will be a great rivalry!”

HS team’s outlook for 2016 season? “We have a lot of strong seniors who are great leaders and help guide the team. Our best quality is that we play as a team. There really isn’t much individual play because of how well we all work together. We lost in the WPIAL championships last year, so our goal is to get back to Highmark Stadium again.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank my parents for taking the time to travel with me and all their support. I would also like to thank my high school coaches, Brian Kattan and Julie Buschman for their dedication and guidance. Lastly, I would like to thank my club team coaches, Katy Phillips, Katrina Silva, Lori Banky, and Becky Bragan for believing in me.”

Other schools considered: Lehigh University, U. of Cincinnati, George Washington, UNH
