Iona Prep (N.Y.) 2018 defenseman/LSM Jonathan Oronzio has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at St. Joseph’s University.

Why did you choose this school? “The coaching staff, school size, competitive lacrosse and academics were the main factors in my decision.”

Outlook for 2017 HS season? “We have a lot of talent and a solid under class. Once the season gets going we won’t have too many weak spots.”

People to thank: “I’d like to thank my Club Director, Chris Schreiber, and my club coaches. I’d like to thank my former coaches at Byram Hills High School. I’d like to thank my High School Coach, Rick Trizano. I’d also like to thank Rob Anderson for introducing me to a competitive lacrosse environment. I’d like to thank all my teammates for always being supportive. But most of all I’d like to thank my parents and siblings for everything they’ve done to help me in my recruiting process.”
