Hightstown (N.J.) 2017 defenseman Tyler Paul has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Arcadia University.

Tyler Paul profile:

Tyler Paul
Tyler Paul

High School: Hightstown High School, N.J.

Graduation Year: 2017

Position: Close Defense

College Choice: Arcadia University

Club Affiliation: New Jersey Lacrosse Club

Major lacrosse honors: Honorable Mention all CVC sophomore year, second team all CVC Junior year

What will you major in/study? Health Science

Why did you choose this school? “I chose Arcadia because I thought it was the best fit for me. They have a small school which is something that I definitely wanted. Their health science programs are strong which is what I plan to study in. From meeting the coaches and some of the players I can say that I liked the vibe of the team.”

Outlook for 2017 HS season? “I think that Hightstown is going to have a good team and will do well this season. As most of our players are underclassmen giving them another year under their belt will make them more comfortable and confident on the field.”

People to thank: “I’d like to thank my parents for going out to all the tournaments with me and never missing a game. I would aslo like to thank all of my coaches, Brian Wolchok (current NJLC head coach), Howard Baranker (previous NJLC coach), and Mike Zapicchi (Hightstown head coach); and all of my other supporters and friends.”

Other schools considered: Ursinus, Stockton, Muhlenberg, Ferleigh Dickinson
