Warwick 2017 attackman Joshua Croyle has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Lebanon Valley College.

Joshua Croyle profile:

James Croyle
Joshua Croyle

High School: Warwick High School

Graduation Year: 2017

Position: Attack

College Committed to: Lebanon Valley College

Club affiliations: Dukes Lacrosse Club, Rock (Low and Away), Bunch Nation

Lacrosse Honors: 2016 Lancaster Lebanon League Attack Honorable Mention

Academic Honors: Distinguished Honors every marking period in High School

What will you major in/study? Criminal Justice

Why did you choose the school? “I chose Lebanon Valley for several reasons. LVC is an excellent academic institution. When visiting LVC on several occasions, I felt right at home. Coach (John) Haus showed a sincere interest in me not only as a lacrosse player but student as well. In addition, the proximity to the police academy and my home will give my family and friends an opportunity to see me play in college.”

HS team’s outlook for 2017 season? We have a large senior class this year with several up and coming underclassmen. I look forward to working with our younger players and mentoring them throughout the season. A goal for our team is being one of the top tier programs in the LL league in addition to competing for a district playoff birth.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank my mom and dad for their support over the years. I will never forget all of the road trips to practices and tournaments year-round and the memories that were made. Thank you also to the rest of my family who have attended a lot of my games over the years. I would like to thank Coach Ebe Helm and Jason Christmas (Dukes – for always pushing me to improve my lax skills), Coach Kyle Wimer (Rock – Low and Away) for teaching me the fundamentals of lacrosse and Coach Tom Demaio (Bunch Nation – California), for giving me an opportunity to play on a nation wide team. To my high school coaches, Head Coach Wayne Hummer and Coaches Gary Minnich and CJ Adams, for their support and guidance throughout my high school career. Finally, I would like to thank my middle school coaches for fostering my passion for the sport of lacrosse. My sincere gratitude to Coach Bradley Boyer, Coach James Croyle (my dad) and coaches Greg and Sharon Gilligan. Our team’s success was a direct reflection of your love and dedication to the sport of lacrosse!”

Other schools considered: York, Eastern, Mercyhurst, Dickinson, Chestnut Hill, Albright, Alvernia, Widener, LIU Post, Messiah, Lynchburg, Stevenson
