Ravenscroft School (N.C.) 2017 goalie Scotty Crouthamel (Duke’s L.C.), formerly of Moravian Academy, has made a verbal commitment to play Division II lacrosse at Long Island University Post campus.

Why did you choose this school? “I chose LIU Post because of the great business program along with the competitive lacrosse atmosphere.”

Outlook for 2017 HS season? “Ravenscroft is coming off of a state championship; I look forward to helping my team make a run to a towards a second North Carolina State Championship.”

People to thank: “I would first like to thank my family, especially my father for continually pushing me and making me a better athlete but also being very supportive throughout the process. Secondly, I would like to thank my coaches from Dukes LC. Lou and Desi Gonzalez have made me a stronger individual between the pipes ever since I walked out to start lacrosse career when I was eight years old. The Dukes Lacrosse Club has put me in the places to get recruited to such a fine institution like LIU Post.”
