Penfield (N.Y.) 2020 defenseman Thomas F. “Buddy” Pelish, III has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Penn State University.

Why did you choose the school? “Penn State has a great academic and athletic tradition that really appealed to me. Coach (Jeff) Tambroni and the coaching staff treated me just a like a member of the Penn State family, as did the team. I also loved the campus and State College.”

HS team’s outlook for 2017 season? “Penfield will have a strong season and I look forward to contributing to our success.”
