La Salle 2018 attackman/midfielder Ethan LaMond has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the United States Naval Academy and begin the admissions process.

Grad year:
2018

Position:
Attack/Midfielder

College Choice:
United States Naval Academy

Club affiliation: Dukes Lacrosse Club

Lacrosse Honors: 4 year varsity letter

Academic Honors: La Salle freshman honors

Political Science and/or Economics

HS team’s outlook for 2017: “We were disappointed in the State Championship game in 2016; it won’t happen again.”

Why I chose this school: “I have wanted to be in the military since I was young, but I never really thought about the Naval Academy being my avenue for doing that. After I did my first visit with Coach (Rick) Sowell and Coach (Ryan) Wellner I was already sold, I love the campus, I love the atmosphere, and I love the lacrosse program.”

People to thank: “I need to thank my Dad for doing everything he has done throughout my life, whether lacrosse related or not. He has given everything for me to be where I am. I want to thank my Mom for doing everything she has done for me. I want to thank all my coaches throughout the years, namely Coach Leahy from La Salle, Coach Christmas and Coach Ebe from Dukes.”

Maplezone Sports Institute (MSI), the official sponsor for PhillyLacrosse.com boys’ recruits, congratulates Ethan LaMond. With indoor facilities located on Route 322 in Garnet Valley, PA and all turf outdoor fields on Chichester Avenue in Aston, PA, MSI is home to all your training needs, both on and off the field.
