Holy Cross Academy (N.J.) 2017 midfielder Michael Sonnie has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Neumann University.

What will you major in/study? Business Administration

Why did you choose this school? “I chose Neumann University after meeting the coaches and the current team members. I felt right away this was a good fit for me both as a student and as a lacrosse player. I believe in what the team is trying to achieve as a program and knew I wanted to be a part of the great things to come.”

Outlook for 2017 HS season? “I am looking forward to finishing my career at HCA with a strong senior season. I want to help my team make a run at States. We have all the pieces in place to make that happen this year.”

People to thank: “I want to first thank my parents for always supporting me. I appreciate all the opportunities they have given me. I’d also like to thank them for the miles they put in, taking me to practices, games and tournaments. I would also like to thank all the coaches who believed in me and helped me grow as a lacrosse player and a person. I would particularly like to thank Coach Steel, Coach Brooks and Coach Reilly. I will forever be proud to be a Lancer.”
