Jackson Liberty (N.J.) 2017 defenseman/LSM George Frueh has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Delaware Valley University.

George Frueh profile:

George Frueh
George Frueh

High School: Jackson Liberty, N.J.

Graduation Year: 2017

Position: Defense/LSM

College Committed to: Delaware Valley University

Club Affiliation: Leading Edge South

Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases: Adrenaline Invitational, NXT Invitational

What will you major in/study? Business/Accounting

Why did you choose this school? “I chose DelVal, because I knew that I could get a good education and be part of a family on the lacrosse team. I really like the sense of a close community on campus, and I have a really good relationship with the coaches and some of the current players.”

HS team’s outlook for 2017 season? “This season will definitely be a good one. We had a pretty senior heavy team last year, but I know that we have plenty of guys that will step up on offense and defense to fill some spots. I’m excited for one last ride with my boys at Jackson Liberty.”

People to thank: “I’d like to thank my parents for everything they’ve done over the past 7 years. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them and all the sacrifices they’ve made for me. I’d like to thank Coach DZ and Coach Smith for being such great high school coaches and making me the young man I am and making me mentally tough on the field, and also Coach Caruso of Leading Edge for everything he’s done during travel season. Lastly, I’d like to thank all of my friends, family, teachers, and principals for motivating me to keep pushing and working to become the best.”

Other schools considered: Stevenson, Messiah, Oneonta
