Why did you choose this school? “I chose Virginia Tech because it is an amazing university with great academic opportunities and it has a great coaching staff that enjoys coaching their players. The coaching staff encourages their players to play with creativity and with heart.”
2016 HS season highlights/outlook for 2017? “The 2016 season for Camden Catholic was incredible. We won 17 games and made it all the way to the New Jersey group sectional semi-finals before losing in triple overtime. For next season, we are going to put in the work this off-season and be ready to win our conference and our group. The goal is to get our team further in the state playoffs than it has ever gone before and enjoy the journey.”
People to thank: “I would like to thank my family for sacrificing everything to help make my dream come true and also for being a rock throughout my life. I would like to thank my High School, Coach Bridget Sipera, for pushing me to be exceptional on the field as well as off the field. I would like to thank my trainer, Andrew Csik, for challenging me to lift just one more pound or be one second faster each time we train. I would like to thank Brian Spallina who has been my role model since the first day I picked up a lacrosse stick in kindergarten. His guidance and words of wisdom every time we talk have made me and will continue to make me be the best student athlete that I can be. I would like to thank Coach Annie Nicholson who trained me as a young lacrosse player and showed me techniques that I still use today as a high school player. I would like to thank DJ and my travel club Ultimate for providing me an opportunity to take it to another level each and every summer. Lastly, I would like to thank all of my teammates who put in the work each and every practice and game to make playing the game competitive and most important FUN.”
