Lenape Summer Lacrosse League hosting free youth clinic Thursday at Turk Park before All-Star Game

The 4th Annual Lenape Lacrosse Summer League Youth Clinic & All-Star Game will be held Thursday Aug. 4 at Turk Park III in Doylestown. This event was originally scheduled for July 28 but was postponed due to inclement weather.

Who: The clinic is open to boys’ youth players in kindergarten through 6th grades.
New this year: Parent coaches new to the sport, from all organizations are welcomed and strongly encouraged to attend. They will be assigned a group who they will follow through each station watching and learning as the speakers and coaches conduct each clinic. These student coaches must have their State Mandated Child Welfare Clearances.
What: This is a 1 hour Free Clinic run by the participants of the All-Star Game in which there will be five stations running simultaneously teaching topics such as face-offs, shooting, dodging, defensive fundamentals, in addition to one station in which we will be clocking shots with radar gun. Following the game, stick around for water ice and watch the men play each other in the

When: Thursday July 28th at 5:00. Clinic begins at 5:30
Why: Because Lacrosse Players are cool, The organizers and participants of the All-Star Game understand that we are privileged to be a part of this community and we are happy to give back when we can.
How to register: Contact Walt Szambelak at Lenapelacrosse@aol.com and give him your son’s age, tee shirt size, and years’ experience by Wednesday July 20th to assure you get a tee. You may register after that point but a tee shirt cannot be promised

The All-Star Game
Who: The top athletes from the 10 teams that comprise the Orange Conference will play the best of the 9 teams that make up the Grey conference. Rosters for each team below: Team Orange and Team Gray
What: This is a one-time game comprised of full 4 quarters @ 20 minutes running time per quarter. Men’s Club Rules apply.
Where: Turk Park III, Field 1
When: Thursday Night July 28th. Game time is 6:45
