Mary Institute St Louis Country Day School (MICDS) 2019 midfielder Henry Carpenter has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Penn State University.

Henry Carpenter profile:

Henry Carpenter

High school: Mary Institute St Louis Country Day School (MICDS), St Louis, Mo

Year of graduation: 2019

Position: Midfield

College committed to: Penn State University

Club team: Project Missouri

Lacrosse Honors: Selected to Under Armour Underclass Midwest Team, Varsity Lacrosse for MICDS Rams varsity as a freshman.

Intended major: “I still am not quite sure what I want to major in just yet, however I know that Penn State will show me the right path for whatever is in my future!”

Why did you choose Penn State? “Penn State was a no-brainer in terms of school pride, the way things are run inside and outside the locker room, and the great college scenery and vibe in Happy Valley. While also being in the Big 10 conference, Penn State plays more powerhouse opponents, and competes at the highest level. It also consists of an incredible coaching staff.”

HS team’s outlook for 2017: “MICDS just completed its goal of a Three-peat in State Championship titles, and our goal is certainly to add another.”

Thank You: “I want to say thank you to my parents who have made my entire lacrosse experience possible. I want to give a thank you to my MICDS community which has taught me what hard work, leadership, and family really means. I want to give a huge thank you to Coach Andy Kay. None of this would’ve ever been possible without him, and he has given my family and I so much. He has known me my entire life and has brought me to where I stand today.”
