Emily Mathewson collected four goals, four assists, eight draw controls and one caused turnover Saturday to lead host Garnet Valley to a 13-10 victory over Great Valley in a no0n-league girls’ lacrosse game with big District 1 seeding implications.
Michelle Koscinski (one assist) and Madi O’Brien (two caused turnovers) each added three goals for the Jaguars (10-6), while Kamryn McNeal had two goals.
Linnea Hughes and Natalie Kahn each had three goals for Great Valley, which fell to 13-3 as it gears for Tuesday’s first-place Ches-Mont League showdown with Unionville.
Conestoga 16, Bishop Shanahan 5
Sondra Dickey collected four goals and an assist, Rilee Scott scored three goals and Monica Borzillo had two goals and four assists to lead the Pioneers.
Manley led Shanahan with two goals.
Germantown Friends 21, Hill School 20, OT
Greta Meyer erupted for nine goals and three assists, Annie Tyson scored six goals and Sophie Smith (two goals) netted the game-winner for GFS.
Amanda Dupell led Hill with six goals and Bree Gorman had four goals and an assist.
Moorestown (NJ) 10, Ridge (NJ) 6
Emily Troy scored three goals and Abbey Brooks added two goals and three assists for the Quakers.
Unionville 15, Methacton 9
Quinn Benintende had four goals and three assists to lead the Indians.
Jackie Cerchio paced Methacton with five goals and two assists.
Ridley 13, Abington 11
Emily Johnston had six goals and two assists while Hanna Crowley and Brooke Nasellato each scored three goals to lead the Green Raiders.
Jeannie van Buren had three goals for Abington.
Shipley 18, Perkionen School 4
The Gators (6-9, 4-3 FSL) won on Senior Day as seniors Demi Karalis, Alli Kothari, Anna Scutt, Rachel Shapiro, Madison Tucker, and manager Pinky Rowe were honored.
Scoring for the Gators were Tucker (3g, 3a), Karalis and Shapiro (1g, 2a), and Scutt (1g) as well as juniors Jenna Litner (5g, 2a), Christina Piasecki (1g, 1a), sophomore Soph Piasecki (1g) and freshman Ashleigh Gundy (5g, 1a).
Freshman goalie Brittany Wells had 5 saves in the victory.
