Ian Davies log:

Ian Davies

High School: Germantown Academy

Graduation Year: 2015

Position: Goalie

College Choice: Roanoke College

Club Affiliation: Twist Black

Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases: Tri-State Nationals AA Champion, Lehigh King of the Mountain Fall Classic Champions, Top 205

What will you major in/study? Economics or Sports Management

Why did you choose school? “Roanoke felt right to me from the minute I stepped onto the campus. It has a great academic reputation, and it also has the major that I am interested in studying. The campus is beautiful, and being tucked into the mountains is an awesome feature. The lacrosse that the school has to offer was also a big factor in my decision. Roanoke is always competing for a national championship and I cannot wait to be a part of the program. On my overnight visit the guys on the team were very welcoming and I was very impressed with the family like atmosphere.”

Outlook for your High School team? “I think that we are going to be a big competitor in the Inter-Ac this year. Coming off an 11-9 season, we look to improve this record. We have a great returning offense, as well as some new guys on defense that should be big contributors. As always, the goal is to go above .500 and improve every year.”

Other comments: “I’d like to thank my Mom and Dad for all their support over the years. I appreciate everything from driving me to all of my tournaments to being my biggest fans at every game.

“Secondly, I’d like to thank my GA Coach Brian Grady for his support of me through out the entire recruiting process as well as helping me to improve as a goalie. I’d also like to thank my Twist Coaches Brian Vetter and Steve Henze for helping me throughout the process as well.”
