Cherokee (N.J.) 2017 defenseman Dylan Rhoads has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Hood College.

College Choice: Hood College Blazers

Club Affiliation: Team Maryland Lacrosse 2013 to present, Braveheart Lacrosse SJ Black Storm Boys Youth Spring Lacrosse 2nd grade to 8th grade

Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases: States Lacrosse, Maryland Lacrosse Showcase Invitee & All Star Game pick 13’&14′, Varsity Starter Cherokee Chiefs HS team Sophomore yr. Nominated Top 5 players to Watch by 3d Rising from States Lacrosse Showcase 2014 Freshman yr Team NJ, SJ Elite All Star MVP Offensive Linemen Award 2013.

What will you major in/study? Criminal Law, Criminal Justice

Why did you choose school? “I chose Hood College because of the Criminal Law internship program opportunities they offer, and I feel like the coaches are already like a part of my family.”

HS team’s outlook for 2016 HS season? “I want to work hard to earn a returning spot as a varsity starter on my HS team, the Cherokee Chiefs. We made it to the SJ Group 4 Olympic Conference Championships in 2015. We lost a tough game last season we have a score to settle!”

Thank You: “Thank you to every coach who made me earn my spot on a team, run harder , do the off season work and get stronger . I dint understand it then but I do now , thank you! Thank you Dad for seven days a week and never a complaint. I love you Dad!”
