Salesianum School (DE) 2016 attackman-midfielder Tommy Paranzino has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Rhodes College.

Tommy Paranzino ledger:

Tommy Paranzino

High School: Salesianum School, DE

Graduation Year: 2016

Position: A/M

College Choice: Rhodes College

Club Affiliation: Team 302

Lacrosse Honors: 2015 State Champion, Brine National, South Jersey All-Stars

What will you major in/study? Biology/Premed

Why did you choose Rhodes? “I chose Rhodes for the unique balance between athletics and education. Coach (Dave) Zazzaro and Coach (Jeremy) Phelps have a great system that keeps the whole team on the right path in the classroom and on the field.

“The academics at Rhodes are very rigorous, and will prepare me for life and possibly graduate school. As soon as I stepped on campus, I felt extremely welcomed by everyone and I felt like I could have a home at Rhodes.”

HS team’s outlook for 2016 season? “We are looking to repeat as DIAA State Champions. We lost a lot of good seniors last year, but we have plenty of underclassmen that are very capable of filling these spots.”

Thank You: “I would first like to thank my family. Without their amazing support, I would not be where I am today. I would like to thank Bob Healy and Shawn Plews, my high school coaches, for always encouraging me to be a better player and a better man. Last, I would like to thank Coach Fred Catalano for teaching me everything I know about lacrosse.”

Maplezone Sports Institute, the official sponsor for Phillylacrosse.com boys’ recruits, congratulates Tommy Paranzino. MSI is located on Conchester Highway (Rt. 322) in Garnet Valley, offering Offering private, group, and team training. Training programs are made for each individual skill set and player.
