Voorhees High School (NJ) 2017 midfielder Emily Zobian has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Duquesne University.
Emily Zobian ledger:
High School: Voorhees High School, NJ
Graduation Year: 2017
Position: Midfield
College Choice: Duquesne University
Club Affiliation: Ultimate Lacrosse
What will you major in/study? Health Sciences
Why did you choose Duquesne? “I picked Duquesne because as soon as I stepped on campus I felt at home. They have tons of majors I’m interested in and Pittsburgh is such a great city. Coach (Michael) Scerbo and Coach (Lisa) Evans run a great program that I immediately knew I wanted to be a part of.”
Thoughts on the season? “We were definitely a speed oriented team. I think our strongest point was our ability to just get the ball down the field and then assess our options. Coach always told us to look for the fast break, then the slow break, then work into a settled offense.”
Thank You: “Thank you to my family for always supporting me through good games and bad. Thank you to Coach (Ann) Bonavita and Coach (Kelly) Evans for helping me grow as a player. Thank you to my all my Ultimate coaches, especially Coach DJ and Coach Karger, for developing me as a player and guiding me through this process!”
Other schools considered: La Salle, Salisbury, Colgate, Tufts
