St. Mark’s (DE) 2018 midfielder Kendra Schweizer has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Delaware.

High school: St. Mark’s HS, Wilmington DE

Graduation year: 2018

Position: midfielder

Club affiliation: Ultimate Goal Lacrosse

College choice: University of Delaware

Lacrosse honors/sports: First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-State lacrosse 2015; First Team All-Conference field hockey 2015; varsity field hockey, basketball and lacrosse since freshman year

Why you chose Delaware: “It was tough making a final decision, but one of the main factors that kept pulling me to UD was the coaches’ interest in me. I watched them in fall ball and I liked their dynamics with the team and I liked their aggressive, fast and scrappy style of play. The team seemed like they were tight and that’s something that’s important to me. The CAA conference has strong competition, too. Overall, I like that I’ll be close to home, and UD offers my major and has strong academics. It’s the perfect size school for me.”

Thank You: “I’m the last of five kids in my house, and all my older siblings play/played D1 lacrosse so I definitely have to thank them all for things they’ve taught me. Besides them, I am thankful for my coaches at St. Mark’s HS and at Ultimate.”
