Lansdale Catholic High School 2017 defender-midfielder Jacqui Jester has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Rutgers University.

Why did you choose Rutgers? “Rutgers is the perfect fit for me. It has everything I am looking for in a school, a great academic reputation, and a competitive lacrosse program. I love the fact that the school is a part of the Big Ten. It will be exciting to play against some of the best.
“When I met the coaching staff and members of the team I knew it was the right school for me. I am looking forward to the challenge.”
Outlook for your High School season? “I hope we have a winning season. We have a new coaching staff so I am optimistic we can do great things!”

“I would also like to thank every coach I had since I started playing lacrosse in third grade. All of my Wisslax coaches who taught me the fundamentals of the game. They helped mold me into the player I am today. Especially, Tom Gannon, my last Wisslax coach, in eighth grade, who helped coach our team to win the championship that year.
“Furthermore, I especially would like to thank my current Ultimate coaches, Michele DeJuliius, and Chelsea Rosiek for all their support, instruction, and guidance. They continually push me to be the best lacrosse player I can be.
“Lastly, I would like to thank all of my teammates, both past and present, for all the support and encouragement.”
