.@FusionLax boys’ HS roundup: @cbeastlacrosse, Downingtown East triumph

Matt Vetter had three goals and an assist and Ryan brown scored three goals to lead Central Bucks East to a 10-6 win Monday night over Central Bucks West, moving the Patriots back into a first-place tie in the Suburban One Continental Conference.Fusion-Lacrosse1-e14261234464991

CB East is 15-1 overall and 10-1 in the league with one game left, Wednesday against Souderton. Central Bucks South is also 10-1 and closes Thursday against CB West.

CB East took a 4-1 first-period lead Monday and never relinquished the advantage.

Owen Griffin had two goals for East while David Gresscott and Mike Ott each chipped in with one goal. East’s face-off tandum of Jack Auteri and Ott combined to win 15 of 20. Sean McGovern was strong in the cage with seven saves for the Patriots. Mike Eveland and Dustin Buchanan led East with two caused turnovers apiece. Ground ball were huge factor for East as Matt Brown and Buchanan had seven apiece, while Eveland had three.

For CB West, Clark Hawes had two goals and an assist and Will Ross scored twice while Steve Hogan made 13 saves

Downingtown East 7, Central Bucks South 6

Drew Rafferty scored off a feed from Jake Peden and Brody Wilson made 15 saves for the Cougars (9-7) in the non-league win.

Darien Vitelli had two goals and Nolan Little won 11 of 14 face-offs.

For CB South (12-3), Jake Henze scored three goals and Robbie Richick posted 15 saves.
