The 4th Annual Headstrong vs Mesa Philly Classic will be held Saturday night at Immaculata University.
The event will feature three games in the classes of 2017, 2018 and 2019.
The event has evolved into a special showcase between two elite Philly club programs. College coaches from around the nation are expected with the timing of the NXT Philly Showcase Weekend being held in Philly during the weekend days.
Bob Aitken, a director of Mesa Lacrosse and Mesa Fresh restaurants, said the event formerly was held early in the month but was moved to this weekend to coincide with the Philly Showcase.
“We really respect the guys from HEADstrong and what they represent and we’ve developed a great friendship,” said Aitken. “A number of coaches would come to see one or two years of classes get together and this year we have expanded to three games. We also offer a social event for the coaches after the games and that gives us a chance to get to know the coaches.”
Aitken said the Mesa Fresh truck will be feeding the players and coaches and encourages all Mesa alumni to attend as well as the 2016 players so a signing picture can be taken with their Mesa garb. The event also will feature a recruiting talk by Virginia assistant coach Marc Van Arsdale and Immaculata coach High Donovan.

Rosters and contact information will be provided to college coaches in attendance. Mesa Fresh Mexican Grill will have its food truck on site serving up some fine fresh food.
