Face-off specialist and two-time All-American selection at the University of Maryland Charlie Raffa is the newest member of Epoch Lacrosse’s team of endorsed athletes.
If you live in Long Island, NY, mark your calendar for Sunday, December 20th, Charlie will be signing autographs and sharing face-off tips from 11 am to 3 pm at Epoch’s first-ever “Demo Days” hosted by Universal Lacrosse in Lake Grove, NY (2833 Middle Country Rd). Epoch will have all of its products on site for players interested in experiencing first hand the advantage of Epoch products.
In 2016, Charlie will be putting Epoch’s Gen.6 F30 FOGO face-off shaft through its paces and providing Epoch’s designers with real world feedback on the recently launched Hawk Sequel head and Otter Mesh.
“Charlie is a remarkable athlete and his knowledge and shear dominance at the face-off X is unparalleled,” said James Miceli, principal and founder of Epoch Lacrosse. “We are excited to get our products into Charlie’s hands and have him put our products especially the F30 through its paces. His unbiased appraisal will pay huge dividends in the development of all of our products.”
A native of Syosset, NY, Raffa has been on fast track to lacrosse success since his playing days at St. Anthony’s High School, where he was a two-time NSCHSAA All-League selection, 2011 Under Armour All-American selection and led St. Anthony’s to back-to-back NY state championships. Playing for the Terrapins Raffa, played in 42 games over the coarse of his junior and senior years and recorded 11 goals and 3 assists for 14 points. Charlie won 373 of his 612 face-offs for a .609 win percentage while also recording 229 ground balls.
