Brittany Edwards scored seven goals to lead Great Valley to a 20-2 rout of Danville today in a PIAA girls’ quarterfinal at Cumberland Valley.
The District 1 fourth-place Patriots (20-4) advance to face District 1 champion Springfield-Delco in the semifinals Tuesday at Henderson at 4 p.m.
Great Valley raced to a 16-4 halftime lead as 10 other players scored.
Danville (14-1), the District 4 champion, suffered its first loss.

Emily Santana exploded for four goals and added four draw controls as the Cougars (23-2) won at Exeter.
Aly Gormley added three goals for Springfield-Delco, which plays Great Valley at Henderson (4 p.m.) on Tuesday. The Cougars defeated Great Valley, 19-11, in the District 1 semifinals.

The Raiders (17-5) raced to an 11-0 halftime lead and coasted to the quarterfinal win, to advance to play Avon Grove in the semifinals Tuesday at Henderson at 6 p.m.
Drew Ryan led a balanced attack with three goals and two assists and Jack Wilson added two goals and an assist while Owen Scheuerle scored twice. Tom Meyers won 13 of 15 face-offs
