Will Manganiello, who led Penncrest to its first PIAA championship and was named a Phillylacrosse.com Co-Player of the Year, will play this year at Community College of Baltimore County at Essex (MD).
Manganiello, who had a Southeastern-PA high 83 goals along with 25 assists in helping the Lions finish among the top 25 teams in the nation, originally committed to Delaware as a junior. He decommitted several weeks ago and will attend the Juco power Essex while he opens the recruiting process.
Manganiello also was named US lacrosse All-American, the Central League MVP, the Delaware County Daily Times Player of the Year, All-EPLCA and Inquirer All-Area. He will join fellow 2014 and Penncrest graduate and also fellow NXT L.C. teammate Billy Kinnard at Essex.
Manganiello, a 5-11, 185-pound attackman, tallied 16 goals in the state tournament and had five in Penncrest’s 13-7 state title win over Avon Grove.
