Old School Navy 2017 traveled to Annapolis, Maryland on July 26-27 to play in the UpLax Summer Shootout and went undefeated to take top honors in its division. Old School went 6-0 overall.
The team, led by veteran Coach Bob DiIonno and first-year coach Elliott Avis, had two come-from-behind victories. The team started the tournament with wins over Libertyville Illinois, Club Blue Maryland, and Jersey Thunder Elite.
On day two it beat Team United Jersey, Team Brotherhood, and 3D 2017. Afterwards Avis said, “The boys played hard both days and are really coming together as a squad. We are very solid on both ends of the field, and looking forward to our next event.”
