Why did you choose the school? “Stony Brook has excellent academics as well as a tremendous commitment to the athletic programs. The fact that they offered my major was a big part of my decision. I also really liked the size of the school and the campus layout. I combined my visit along with participation in the Island Uprising tournament where I had the opportunity to play in front of and meet the coaching staff. I felt very comfortable interacting with the coaches.”
What is your team’s outlook for next season? “We hope to pick up where we left off last season. The 2013 season was a breakout season for Wilson Lacrosse. We won our second straight League championship, where we went undefeated. We were also District 3 finalists and PA state quarterfinalists. We are returning a strong core of key players and have a number of talented underclassmen that can make an impact. We expect to make a deep run into district and state playoffs.”
Other comments: “I would like to thank my parents who have supported me throughout this process and allowed me to pursue my goals by attending countless camps, clinics, prospect days, and club tournaments since I was in third grade.
“I would like to thank my Wilson High School coaches (Bill Hughes, Joe Bialek, Zacc Groff) for all of their support and guidance.
“Thank you to (Duke’s LC’s) Ebe Helm for all of your advice.
“I would also like to especially thank Brian Vetter and Steve Henze for being outstanding club coaches. You were able to see my strengths and gave me the opportunity to take my game to the next level. The Twist 2015 team has had much success because of your dedication to excellence.
