Shawnee (N.J.) 2017 attackman/midfielder Mike Shinske has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Penn State University.

Club Affiliation: Tri-State

Major lacrosse honors, All-Star teams, Camps, Showcases: Varsity Starter as a Freshman, All-Star at King of the Hill and Under Armour Shootout, Selected by NJ.com First Team All-State Combined Freshman and Sophomore Classes, Nike Blue Chip (Rising Frosh and Rising Soph)

Academic honors, service projects: Honor Roll, 3.9 GPA, Shawnee High School Leadership Council

What will you major in/study? Business

Why did you choose the school? “Everything about Penn State seemed to be a perfect fit: The high academic and athletic standards, the coaching staff, and my future teammates.”

Thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “It was a great team experience and our seniors will be missed. We have some unfinished business to win the State Championship and I definitely think we have the players and coaching to do it.”
