Manheim Township 2018 goalie Caton Johnson has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of North Carolina.

Club Affiliation: Dukes LC 2018

Major Lacrosse Honors, All-Star teams, Camps, Showcases: FCA National U15, Lehigh Valley Futures Showcase All-Star, Maverik Showtime 2015 invite.

What will you major in/study: Economics

What made you choose the school: “I loved the location of the University; Chapel Hill is a great town. I also felt a connection to the coaching staff as soon as I got on campus for the first time. The University of North Carolina is also a great academic institution.”

HS team’s outlook on season: “Our defense should be able to help carry us through the season. We have good attackmen; we also have some great incoming midfielders. We are looking to go far into the state playoffs this year.”

Other comments: “I would like to thank Coach Ebe Helm, and Jason Christmas, along with the rest of the Dukes organization. I would like to than Marty Kupprion, and Brett Manney, along with the NXT lacrosse organization who I played for this last summer. I would lastly like to thank Coach Bryan Kelly of Calvert Hall.
