Andrew Tourlitis

High School: Garnet Valley High School

Graduation Year: 2015

Position: Midfield

College Choice: Ursinus College

Club Affiliations: Jags Lax, Team 302

Lacrosse Honors: Under Armour Shoot-Out, Summer Slam All-Star MVP, The Match Showcase, Kip Taviano Memorial game

Academic Honors: Honor Roll and Distinguished Honor Roll throughout High School.

What will you major in/study? Pre-Med

Why did you choose Ursinus? “I chose Ursinus because it had everything I was looking for. I wanted a smaller school with strong athletics and an outstanding sciences program, and Ursinus was perfect. When I visited and toured the school and met with Coach (David) Page and Coach (Jamie) Steele, I knew that was where I wanted to be. Ursinus is becoming a strong program and I would love to make a run with them in the near future.”

Thoughts on this past season/outlook for next season? “Last season we had to fill a lot of spots after our 2013 season and we met the challenge. With a lot of young talent, we were successful but came up short at the end. This year with senior leadership and a lot of talent and chemistry we are striving to make a deep run in the play-offs.”

Thank You: “First off, I would like to thank my High School coaches Frank Urso, Jim Snow, Joe Kivlen, Mike Hartney and Jim Trowbridge. I would also like to thank my club coaches Jay Motta and Keevin Galbraith.

“Most importantly I would like to thank my family. Starting with my Mom and Dad who always supported me by paying for everything and driving me everywhere and my brother and sister who always cheered me on from the sideline.”

Other schools considered: Albright College, Haverford College, Lycoming College
