Episcopal Academy 2015 midfielder Chris Friedman has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Hartford.

Chris Friedman log:

Chris Friedman
Chris Friedman

High School: Episcopal Academy

Graduation Year: 2015

Position: Midfield

College Choice:
University of Hartford

Club Affiliations: NXT 2015, Duke’s LC

Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases: All Inter-Ac, All Delco, All Main Line, Duke’s LC 2013 & 2014 Champ Camp Champions, Under Armor Uncommitted team, Baltimore kick-off Allstar, Philly Summer Invitational All-Star & champion, Philly Showcase Fab 40, Duke’s Crabfeast champs, Nike Blue Chip, Penn Star undefeated, Keystone All-Star

What will you major in/study? Business

Why did you choose school? “Coach (Peter) Lawrence really gave me a good feeling about what it meant to be a Hawk. The lacrosse team had the most academic honor roll students and led the America East conference. The Barney School of Business at Hartford has a great reputation and I like that it is accessible to New York, Boston and Philly.”

Thoughts on 2014 season, outlook for 2015: “This year we had a young team with a lot of new starters. Even with our strong seniors moving on, a lot of the guys returning have experience playing against one of the toughest schedules in the country. We always play Malvern and Haverford close and will challenge them again this year. I like our chances as an underdog in the Inter-Ac.”

Other comments: “I’d like to thank my EA and club coaches – Hayes, Kupprion, Gibbs, O’Brien, Deckelbaum and Manney, and all the Duke’s coaches especially Ebe, Christmas and Mackrides. A shout out to my youth coaches, Marino and Gallagher, and my brother, Will, who showed me how hard work pays off. Last but not least, especially my mom and dad for supporting me in lacrosse from the early days.”
