Perkiomen Valley junior defenseman Nick Scenna has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Robert Morris University.
Nick Scenna log:

High School: Perkiomen Valley High School
Graduation Year: 2015
Position: Defense
College Choice: Robert Morris University
Club Affiliation: Black Bear
Major lacrosse honors: 2013 Blue Chip 225 All-Star, 2013 All-Area Honorable Mention, 2012 Junior Varsity Captain
Academic honors: Distinguished Honors Algebra II and Pre-Calculus
What will you major in/study? Education and Mathematics
Why did you choose the school? “I chose Robert Morris because when I first visited the school I fell in love with the atmosphere and the community. The area has many things around it to do for fun anytime of the year, which is good because I like to be active. The school had my major and I have seen the school many times. I felt that it was right for me to choose this school because even if I was not going to play lacrosse, it would be easy to make friends. I have been around RMU lacrosse a lot; I already felt a part of their family and the people at the school are very nice.”
HS team’s outlook for 2014 season? “The team should be pretty good this year and we are going to probably compete for the championship and make it into districts. We have all our returning offensive players and some new faces on defense, but with the hard work we have been putting in every day everyone is going to be on the same page. This is going to be our second year with the new program and head coach, Bryan Churchey. We have worked hard and should win the league and make a good run into districts. We also have a new (freshman) goalie who in the fall played amazing with the rest of the team. This team is going to succeed.”
Other comments:“I would like to thank my parents for taking me to all my lacrosse games, and for driving me to visit schools, and to prospect days. I want to thank my brother, Joe Scenna, because he is my role model and has taught me everything I know about lacrosse. He is also made me a bigger and better person on and off the lacrosse field. The last person I want to thank is my lacrosse coach, Coach Bryan Churchey, because he believed in me.”
Other schools considered? Queens University of Charlotte, Sacred Heart, and Fairfield University
