York Catholic 2016 defender Maura Palandro has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at La Salle University.

Major lacrosse honors: PIAA 1st Team All County Defender, set the school record for draw controls and won the most draw controls, most ground balls, and most caused turn overs 2 years in a row.
Academic honors, service projects: Honor Roll, nominated for National Honor Society, helped organize 2013 York County Pearl Harbor Day ceremony, helped to organize the 2014 York County Memorial Day celebration in recognition of pasted veterans and received the Green Award for over 50+ hours of community service during the school year.
What will you major in/study? Nursing
Why did you choose the school? “La Salle is the full package. La Salle offers both outstanding academics while also being a very successful lacrosse program. I also chose La Salle because of the immediate chemistry I felt while on the campus and meeting with the coaches on my unofficial visits.”
Thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “This past season York Catholic won our first County Championship, which ended the very successful season. The outlook for next season is exciting because we have a lot of underclassmen coming to fill the spots of graduating seniors. We will have a very talented group and I look forward to being a part of the journey.”
