Germantown Academy senior defender Marley Sternberg has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Vanderbilt University.

Why did you choose Vanderbilt? “As a preferred walk-on, my process was a little different. Vanderbilt is my dream school without lacrosse, and the fact that I will be able to play there next year makes it even better. The campus and surrounding area of Nashville are absolutely beautiful. I know the academics will be challenging, and I’ll be surrounded by great people. The coaching staff at Vanderbilt were encouraging and supportive throughout the whole process, and I can’t thank them enough for that.”
Outlook for your High School team? “We’re returning a lot of starters and a strong senior class with a lot of promising underclassmen. I think we can really make an impact this year from the start.”
Additional Comments: “I want to give the biggest thanks to my Mom, Dad, and Brother for completely supporting me in everything I do. I cannot thank my club coaches Brooke Fritz and Liz Harris enough for making this opportunity possible and always being available for advice in this process as well as working with me to help me become a better player.
