Eastern Regional (N.J.) Kaela Sierra has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Stony Brook University.

Lacrosse honors: Fab 40 in Philly Showcase, Varsity starting as a freshman

Academic honors: Honor Roll

Intended major: Physical Therapy/ Sociology

Why did you choose Stony Brook? “I chose Stony Brook University because it made me feel like home. I loved every minute of the campus and the Athletics part as well.”

HS team’s outlook for 2015: “I think we are going to be very competitive. As a whole we are going to have to step it up since we have a small amount of players, but it will bring the intensity up to our game.”

Other comments: “I would like to thank my dad for helping me with all of this college recruiting and setting up clinics, tournaments, and showcases for me. I would also like to thank my two coaches, Coach Katie Lee and Coach Melissa Venturi, for helping me through it all and helping me with all of the recruiting emails, calls, and videos.”
