The 8th Annual Evanfest will be held Saturday at Malvern Prep as 45 youth boys’ lacrosse teams compete to celebrate the life of Evan Brady.
Teams in 6th, 7th and 8th grade levels from from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware will participate. All proceeds go directly to families that have a child with a life-threatening disease.
Evan Brady was a youth lacrosse standout who battled osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer) for several years until passing away at the age of 19 in 2005. To date, EVANFEST has raised $750,000.00, which has provided financial assistance to 175 different families in the Delaware Valley.

To further help raise funds for Evanfest, lacrosse fans can buy 3-day ticket strip to the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Championships at PPL Park and donate $5 to Evanfest.
The tourney will be held from April 25-27 and feature six of the top teams in Division I – UVA, Duke, North Carolina, Maryland, Notre Dame and Syracuse – as well as numerous Philly grads.
